| Charity Focus: Coachella Valley Education Foundation |
The Coachella Valley Education Foundation is a non-profit organization closely affiliated with the Coachella Valley Unified School District whose intent is to encourage more students from that district to attend college after graduation.
|
“The foundation’s focus is to help kids in CVUSD get into college and help them understand that college is for everyone, not just a select few,” says Lee Osborne, a member of the foundation’s board of directors. “The students are exposed to universities throughout the country, and as result more and more of them are attending college after graduating from Coachella Valley High School.”

The foundation’s Catch a Dream program at Coachella Valley High School is doing just that.

| PSO Awards 3rd Annual Butvidas Scholarship |
| Scholarship recipient Christopher King will receive $1000 after graduating from CV High School in four years and enrolling in college. The scholarship is named in honor of the late Peter Butvidas, a founding member of PSO and a great supporter of education. Christopher’s parents, Christopher and Maureen, are very proud of him – as is everybody at PSO. Congratulations! |
